Catalisando mercados sustentáveis
The CEO of Atelier BZZ has accumulated stories and actions of projects with the United Nations over time in Haiti, Iraq, Angola, São Tomé and Príncipe and with the D4D Institute in Brazil and Latin America. At the beginning of this pandemic, we manufactured masks with seamstresses in solidarity in the Rio de Janeiro lowlands, where 30,000 masks were produced and countless families maintained their livelihood in difficult times. The masks were donated to hospitals, orphanages, nursing homes and associations, part of which was sold to maintain production. and exported and sold in France and Denmark.
At the same time, we thought that this epidemic would change consumption habits and the need to value solidarity chains of sustainable economy, empower women, create involvement with local communities, know where the production of what we are using comes from. The great challenges of the next century will be better solved if we act together and collectively find new forms of consumption and production that empower people and places.
